Southwest Monsoon 2018 has withdrawn from the northwestern plains of the country. The northwestern plains have been experiencing dry and warm weather since long. However, if we talk about the current scenario, few pockets of Delhi NCR, Rewari, Bhiwani experienced light showers over isolated places today during the evening hours.
This weather activity occurred because of warm air and large amount of water vapors available in the atmosphere which led to an increase in humidity levels. Slight relief in form of patchy rains will be seen tomorrow as well in some areas of Delhi NCR, Haryana, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. However, the city will see sunny weather during most parts of the day.
As per Skymet Weather meteorologists, a change in weather is foreseen around October 9. The shift will be because of a disruption in weather activity on two accounts. The weather system which is brewing in Arabian Sea will intensify into a Cyclonic storm, titled, Luban.
Secondly, a Western Disturbance is likely to affect Jammu and Kashmir. Due to the interaction of these two weather systems, Delhi along with the entire northwestern plains will experience patchy rains on October 10-12. However, some parts of northwestern region like North Punjab will start experiencing rains by October 9 itself.
As per Skymet Weather, entire Rajasthan will experience light to moderate rains with thundershowers from October 9-12. However, the intensity of rains in the plains will not be that great but slight relief will be seen in terms of temperature thus bringing in pleasant weather.
