At present #Delhi is witnessing passing #showers. Moving from west to east. On and off rains are expected to continue until tomorrow. Weather will go dry thereafter. Another spell is expected by August 11. #DelhiRains @SkymetWeather

The reason for these showers can be attributed to the northward movement of Monsoon Trough. Until now, this Trough was South of Delhi. However, in the last 24 hours, it has tilted in the north directions, thus coming closer to Delhi and NCR area.
Today, we expect a few short intense spells of rain and thundershower activities in the National Capital Territory. By tomorrow, a few good spells of rain will lash the region leading to pleasant and comfortable weather conditions.
Further, by August 7, the axis of Monsoon Trough will once again shift southwards due to the formation of a Low-Pressure Area that would be traveling to the central parts of the country.
Due to this movement, the weather of Delhi and NCR area will once again go dry, however, isolated pockets may continue to get rain.
Another spell of rain is expected around August 11 or 12, wherein some good Monsoon showers would be lashing the region.
