As per Skymet Weather, the reason for these rains can be associated with the cyclonic circulation persisting over South Gujarat and adjoining North Maharashtra coast. Along with this, the offshore trough is also extending from South Gujarat to Coastal Kerala.

As of now, the weathermen at Skymet Weather predicts the rain intensity to reduce over most parts of Maharashtra, especially over Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra region. However, still, light to moderate rains are expected to continue over parts of Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra along with light spells over Vidarbha and Marathwada.
