After drizzle, rain in Delhi expected in next 24 hours

February 5, 2014 8:59 AM |

Light rain has been reported in pockets of Delhi/NCR today morning and it is expected that more rain could occur in the next 24 hours in the region. A cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan is working in tandem with a Western Disturbance over Jammu & Kashmir to usher in cloudy skies and rain in Delhi and other parts of northwest plains.

Due to rain and partly cloudy to cloudy sky, maximum temperature may drop further today and settle in the lower twenties.

Meanwhile, the runway visibility in Delhi today morning was better and the lowest visibility reported was during late night and morning hours at around 350 meters. Amrtitsar, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Jaipur observed better fog conditions as the visibility remained good. However, Gorakhpur in east Uttar Pradesh reported nil visibility today morning. The lowest visibility level in Patna in Bihar was recorded at 300 meters today.
