During the last 24 hours, light rains have occurred over Southwest Madhya Pradesh including the city of Indore. While other multiple cities in Madhya Pradesh like that of Damoh, Sagar, and Mandsaur received a whopping rain along with immense flooding, Indore remained untouched to the havoc. The city only received patchy rains of 4 mm.
However, a day before yesterday heavy rains amounting to 42 mm were witnessed over Indore as well. Those rains were due to the effect of a Low-Pressure Area which was over Northern parts of Northwest Madhya Pradesh. But now, the Low-Pressure Area has intensified into a Well-Marked Low-Pressure Area and is now over Northeast Rajasthan moving away in Northwest direction.
Therefore, the rain activities will become less intense and we expect isolated light rain over Indore and adjoining areas during the next two to three days. Weather will remain comfortable and cloudy.
Also, the rain activities are not expected to increase over Indore or any other districts of West Madhya Pradesh for at least the next four to five days. Weather will become almost dry.
Although, since the end of July until August 9, on and off rains moderate showers were going on over Indore with one or two heavy spells. So, the month of August is turning out to be good for the state.
