After recording whopping 87 mm of rain on June 8, Monsoon rains had taken back seat over Hyderabad. Since then, only light rains have been witnessed over the state capital. In fact, on June 15 the city had received 3 mm of rain, while on June 16, it recorded mere 0.1 mm.
However, city of nizams along with other parts of Telangana are gearing up for good Monsoon weather activities. Though several parts of states may see some heavy spells, Hyderabad might have to settle with moderate showers.

According to Skymet Weather, a north-south trough has been extending from central parts of country till Tamil Nadu across Telangana. However, it is oscillating in east direction.
These rains and thundershowers will continue to over the state for another 24 to 48 hours. Sky will remain largely cloudy throughout the day, which will keep the temperature under check.

In fact, day maximums are likely to settle in early 30s, while night temperatures would be win early 20s. With this, weather will remain extremely pleasant over Hyderabad during the next few days.
Hyderabad has already met its monthly quota of rainfall and any more spells will be an added advantage. Till June 17, city has recorded 132.6 mm of rain as compared to its monthly mean of 111.2 mm.
