Active Monsoon to give good rains in Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Chandrapur in 24 hrs

After a brief respite, fresh Monsoon surge is all set to revive rains and thundershowers over several parts of Maharashtra. The off-shore trough along the West Coast has become active and is now running from South Gujarat to Kerala.

This trough is a regular feature in the Monsoon season, which keeping getting active or inactive from time to time.

With this, moist winds from Arabian Sea has been reaching to several parts of Maharashtra including Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha. However, intensity of rains will be more over coastal parts of the state.

Places like Vengurla, Ratnagiri, Harnai and Mumbai are gearing up for moderate to heavy rains and thundershowers during the next few days.

In fact, thunderclouds and lightning strikes are already seen over the region, with rains beginning soon. Some places might have even started recording some rains or thunderstorms. These showers will also be accompanied with strong gusty winds.

Weathermen predict light to moderate rains over Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman,Ahmednagar, Nashik, Pune, Raigarh, Thane, Mumbai, Bhandara, Chandrapur, Garhchiroli, Nagpur, Wardha, Yavatmal,Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts of Maharashtra during next 24 hours.

We expect, similar Monsoon conditions are likely to prevail over the region for next few days. With this, rains of varying intensity will continue to drench several parts of the state.
