Fairly widespread rain and thundershower activities have lashed many parts of Maharashtra, during the last 24 hours. Places like Akola, Aurangabad, Nashik, and Mumbai observed good Monsoon rain and thundershowers. In fact, we can say, yesterday was a good rainy day for all the four meteorological divisions of Maharashtra.
According to our meteorologists, rains will reduce to some extent over Vidarbha, but scattered light rain with one or two moderate spells may continue for the next few days. These rains will help in pulling down the rain deficiency of the region.
Marathwada, in particular, will get to see good Monsoon showers for the next four to five days. A similar weather condition is likely over Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa as well.
Meanwhile, Mumbai rains will continue with the reduced intensity only, but chances of a few moderate spells cannot be ruled out in the city and its suburbs.
After 48 hours, the rain intensity will increase over the entire Konkan and Goa region including Mumbai and moderate rains with one or two heavy spells that are likely here.
Thus, we can say that for the next week, the state of Maharashtra will get the touch of good Monsoon showers. The rain deficiency of Vidarbha and Marathwada will ease out while the surplus of Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa will get even better.
