A rainy Sunday forecast for Mumbai as Low Pressure Area intensifies

After the rains started lashing Mumbai the day before yesterday, the city again woke up to a wet morning today. As per the records, Mumbai’s Santa Cruz observatory has received 14 mm rains in the last 21 hours.

Tracing back the underlying reason is the Low Pressure Area which is prevailing over Arabian Sea in the vicinity of Maharashtra coast.

The rains have definitely pulled down the otherwise rising temperatures and weather has gone pleasant since the last some days.

As a relief, these rains will be continuing today as well, giving the weekend yet another edge. The rains will be mostly light with one or two intense spells. Any major cases of waterlogging can be ruled out.

Tomorrow will see a reduction of rains over the city as the Low Pressure Area moves away further Northwards. However, a cloudy sky will continue to prevail.

Mumbai doesn’t see much rains in the month of October unless some prominent system builds up in the Arabian Sea.

The prevailing Low Pressure Area is affecting not just Mumbai, but many other parts of entire West Coast including the state of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala. The system has brought heavy rains over multiple areas in the last few days.
