Rain has subsided from North India and Delhi and the weather will remain clear till the 10th of March. As reiterated by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, a fresh Western Disturbance will bring rain in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi/NCR and west Uttar Pradesh. Hailstorm is also likely during this period at some places.
Rain will commence in Srinagar, Amritsar and adjoining areas from 9th onward and gradually the rain belt will shift eastwards. Here’s a detailed list of states which will receive rain from 9th to 12th of March.
- On the 9th, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab will receive light rain.
- On the 10th, rain will continue in the above mentioned states along with Haryana, Delhi/NCR, Gujarat, Rajasthan and parts of Madhya Pradesh.
- On the 11th, the Western Disturbance will bring rain in almost entire North India and parts of Central India
Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulations in different parts of the county like Odisha, Rajasthan, Arabian Sea and Lakshadweep region will continue to bring rain for another week in central and peninsular region. On the 12th of March, the intensity of rain will increase in Maharashtra, Telangana and adjoining areas.
The cyclonic circulation which has been bringing pre-monsoon showers in peninsular region will move north eastwards to bring rain in east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and west Odisha. Thereafter, the spell of rain across the county will ease out and lead to rise in day temperatures.
