However, you can still put on lots of sunscreen and visit the beach along with doing some water spots to feel slightly cooler.

Monsoon (July to Sep): Right from the beginning of Monsoon, it does begin to rain in Puducherry and you never know when it ends up raining and that too at what intensity. Temperatures settling between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius, and the humidity levels due to constant rains is high. However, Puducherry is beautiful during Monsoon. The picturesque greenery and colorful flowers all around make it look picture perfect.

Winters (Oct-Feb): The best time to visit Puducherry is during the winters. During this time, temperatures are in the comfortable range, i.e. 22 and 32 degree Celsius. Moreover, it does rain at times also due to the Northeast Monsoon season in October and November and some part of December which makes it even more pleasant.

You can either head to the older part of Pondi which is definitely more French and whiter with houses draped with bougainvillea and clean streets.

There are several beaches to visit right from the Promenade Beach to the Paradise Beach, Auroville Beach, and Serenity Beach. You have got to choose your poison.

While in Puducherry you have got to visit the amazing Auroville. The Aurobindo Ashram is a must visit and you must make sure to spend some time there. You can also visit Arikamedu, which happen to be the ruins that carried the remnants of the Roman trade in India.
