Paris is the most extraordinary place in the world believes Charles Dickens, and rightly so. For several years, authors, actors, and even commoners have sung songs in praise of the epitome of love. Once you are in Paris, it isn’t a mere crush, but your relationship with the city turns into an everlasting love affair. As Audrey Hepburn put it, Paris is indeed always a good idea.

Best time to Visit Paris

While summer may be just the time to visit Paris, the crowded city may slightly disappoint you. The fall and spring are less crowded, which means you can enjoy the city to its fullest. However, you could simply take a trip during the winter season and show off your stylish overcoat.

During the summer season, the temperatures are high enough to let you take a very comfortable stroll around the entire city. It is also considered to be the best time to visit Paris. However, an unusually large flock of tourists may make you regret your travel choices.

The months between September and November are one of the cheapest when it comes to hotel prices. So, you can easily enjoy a quiet walk around Paris without worrying too much about too many people. Make sure you carry a few layers to keep yourself warm.

Between December and February, Paris is as cold as it can get. If you decide to brace the chilly weather, make sure you carry quite a few overcoats.

Eiffel Tower: The Eiffel Tower literally defines Paris. The iconic monument which is 324 metres high was built by Gustave Eiffel. The epitome of love as they call it, is one of the most visited sites in the world with 7 million visitors each year. It is better to book a ticket in advance to see this beauty. You can also have a good meal on top of the Eiffel Tower to make it all the more memorable.

 

Arc De Triomphe: The triumphal arch is dedicated to the imperial armies’ glory. The arch is the largest monument in the world of its kind. There also lies the tomb of an unknown soldier of France under the Arc De Triomphe. 50 metres in height with 45 m of width and 22 m of depth, the Arc is one of the most beautiful sights in Paris at night.

The Louvre: If you are an art buff and have always wanted to visit a magnificent art museum, you need to visit the Louvre. Also known as the best art museum in the world, The Louvre is located in the heart of Paris. The museum which was originally a fortress built in the 12th century is now divided into eight departments.

Champs Élysées: It isn’t wrong to call the Champs Elysees "the most beautiful avenue in the world." Situated on a stretch of 1.9 km between the Arc de Triomphe and the Place de la Concorde, it definitely is worth a visit. Not only are there a myriad of boutique stores, world famous restaurants and cafes adorn the Champs Élysées.

Cruise on River Seine: If you love Paris and have not gotten tired by singing songs in its praise, a cruise on the river Seine will make it all the better. Along with the splendid views, the on board service is class apart. How about taking a trip to the river in Paradise?
