Summer (April - June)
Summers too remain cool and windy in Kanatal unlike many other Indian hill cities. The average summer heat in Kanatal ranges between 25 degree Celsius to 30 degree Celsius but the heat is exceptionally short-lived. This is the ideal time for going on treks and exploring the wealth of flora and fauna that Kanatal has to offer.
Winter (October - March)
Winters here are harsh with regular snowfall. But it’s the ideal time to visit the place if you are looking forwards to some fun with snow. Multiple festivals are celebrated in Winters only because this is the time when residents are free to socialize and celebrate. The temperatures range from 1 degree Celsius to 15 degree Celsius which makes carrying woolen, thick clothes a necessity.
Monsoon (July - September)
The Monsoon season in Kanatal, consisting of July and August, is not the best season to visit the hill station as a tourist. The place receives heavy downpour in the month of July and August. This is when the roads to Kanatal are not in their best form and should be avoided. Landslides become a common feature during the Monsoon period.
