Dense fog that crippled normal life in Delhi and other parts of northwest plains will continue to be witnessed for the next two days. The weather conditions turned favourable for the formation of fog in the national capital and adjoining parts of northwest plains, leading to very dense fog (during which visibility reduced to zero meters) at several places today.
High relative humidity levels due to prevalence of southeasterly winds and temperatures of around 6 to 7 degrees in the northwest plains, led to the intensification of fog. According to our forecast, flight operations at Delhi airport may once again get affected tomorrow morning due to chances of fog.
Earlier today, flight operations at the Delhi airport were hit hard as around 50 flights were reported to be delayed by one to three hours due to zero visibility. Agra and Jaipur airports, the main diversions for Delhi flights also reported zero visibility for few hours that added to the miseries of air travelers.
