However, Rohit Sharma will lead the series along with the batting expertise of Shikhar Dhawan which makes things look good for the Men in Blue. On the other hand, Sri Lanka will have to leave, star player and captain Angelo Matthews out of this game due to an injury. Thus, on the Sri Lankan end, Dinesh Chandimal will be leading the team.

The Sri Lankan team has learned their lesson by losing 40 matches including all formats in 2017, which happens to be the highest losses by any team in a calendar year. Meanwhile, India is high on confidence after the victorious South African trip. Thus, it will be interesting to see who wins in what manner.

As far as weather conditions are concerned, Colombo has received its share of rain and thunderstorm during the afternoon hours itself. Thus, during the match, there is likely to be no interruption in terms of weather. On the other hand, due to some communal tension between Buddhists and Muslims in Kandy, a nationwide state of emergency has been declared in Sri Lanka. Hopefully, the emergency will not affect the match.
