Updated on March 8, 2018: After losing the first game against Sri Lanka, the men in blue are all set to fight another battle with Bangladesh. However, unlike last time, weather gods may not be in sync and rain and thunderstorm may make an appearance over Colombo initially. Thus, there may be some interruption in the game. However, a washout is not likely at all.
The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM in Colombo at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium today. There may also be a delay in the toss due to some weather activity. Let us hope that Rohit Sharma and company do not let Bangladesh win the match. Until now, Bangladesh has never won a T20 against India.

The Nidahas Trophy which also features the hosts including Bangladesh as well as Sri Lanka. The tournament has been organized to celebrate 70 years of Independence of Sri Lanka.
The first T20 game will be played between India and Sri Lanka in Colombo at 7:00 PM IST today. However, cricket fans will be missing the Indian skipper Virat Kohli, the ex-captain cool MS Dhoni along with the star players Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav as they have been rested for this series.

However, Rohit Sharma will lead the series along with the batting expertise of Shikhar Dhawan which makes things look good for the Men in Blue. On the other hand, Sri Lanka will have to leave, star player and captain Angelo Matthews out of this game due to an injury. Thus, on the Sri Lankan end, Dinesh Chandimal will be leading the team.
The Sri Lankan team has learned their lesson by losing 40 matches including all formats in 2017, which happens to be the highest losses by any team in a calendar year. Meanwhile, India is high on confidence after the victorious South African trip. Thus, it will be interesting to see who wins in what manner.
As far as weather conditions are concerned, Colombo has received its share of rain and thunderstorm during the afternoon hours itself. Thus, during the match, there is likely to be no interruption in terms of weather. On the other hand, due to some communal tension between Buddhists and Muslims in Kandy, a nationwide state of emergency has been declared in Sri Lanka. Hopefully, the emergency will not affect the match.
