The Indian Premier League has reached an interesting stage where almost all the teams have played at least 8 matches. After an outstanding win by the Kolkata Knight Riders last night, they have soared to the top spot leaving the Mumbai Indians a little behind after all. The third spot is still retained by the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad followed by Rising Pune Supergiant who are currently at the fourth spot.
Live status of lightning and rain over Bengaluru
As far as the bottom four is concerned, sadly the Gujarat Lions continue to be at the bottom. On the seventh place are the Delhi Daredevils who were once doing quite well for themselves. However, they've still played just about six games, so they still have a decent chance for themselves.
On the sixth place are the Royal Challengers Bangalore who have had a bad season this year. The last game was washed out due to heavy rains over the city of Bengaluru. Kings XI Punjab are on the fifth place and may just be able to bounce back in one of the top spots if Hashim Amla spreads his magic.
Today, the Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on the Gujarat Lions. Both the teams need to desperately win this match so as to be able to not be at the bottom place. The match is scheduled to be played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru at 8:00 PM.
While the rain gods may spare the city this time, the possibility of a few showers during the toss or the beginning of the match cannot be ruled out. As per weathermen, rain may not interfere and cause hindrance during the match. However, with Bengaluru and Pre Monsoon weather, you never know when the raindrops may make an appearance.
Otherwise, weather will remain cloudy with temperatures settling close to the normal levels.
