The cricket season is here, India ka Tyohar as they call it is about to begin today. The tenth edition of IPL 2017 is all set to bring the cricket fever at its peak. Cricket fans can rejoice as the coming two months are going to be flocked with full tosses and googlies.
A big celebration is in line for the tenth edition of India’s biggest sport event. If you thought that the celebratory event was only limited to the first day, a delightful surprise awaits you. This time, the IPL will not have one or two, but 8 opening ceremonies, one for each city.
Thus, fans from all the eight cities will get to witness the grandeur of the opening ceremony this time. A different set of celebrities will be gracing the events across the country. Right from the cultural high of a city to the celeb glitterati, these opening ceremonies will have way more than one can imagine. This year, a younger set of stars will be gracing the event with their presence.
While Hyderabad will have Amy Jackson at the opening event on April 5, Pune will see Ritiesh Deshmukh entertaining fans with his charm. Rajkot on April 7 will see Tiger Shroff showing off some of his moves. On April 13, the stunning Shraddha Kapoor will display a stunning performance at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Last but not the least, Parineeti Chopra in Delhi will be seen showing off those amazing abs on April 15. Other venues including Indore, Mumbai and Bengaluru are yet to confirm their celeb name.
Weather wise, Hyderabad may witness some rainfall activity today during the late afternoon or evening hours. This may delay the opening ceremony for some time. However, the match may not be affected due to rains.
