The fourth ODI between India and Australia is scheduled to be played at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on Wednesday. A thrilling contest at the MCG saw Australia register an unassailable 3-0 lead in the 5-match series. Team India now play for pride as the action moves to the ‘Bush Capital’.

Overcast conditions are expected at the Manuka Oval on Wednesday. The sun will play hide and seek in the morning but cloudy conditions are expected to take over by afternoon. There’s very little chance of rain during the Canberra ODI and a full game is expected here.

Humidity will remain in the low 20s at the start of play and will settle between 30 to 50% during the second half of the game. Winds of about 10 to 15 kmph will blow over the region in the afternoon. Wind speed will come down to about 5 to 8 kmph later in the day. Simply speaking, conditions during the Canberra ODI look good for a full day’s play.

Australia have announced their squad for the remaining two ODIs. The very dangerous David Warner returns to the squad and Test specialist Nathan Lyon has also been included. Joel Paris and Usman Khwaja have been released for the ongoing Big Bash League. Apart from this, no other changes have been made to the Aussie squad.

The taste of victory continues to evade Dhoni and his men in blue. Despite some clinical performances from the batters, India was outplayed by Australia in the first three games. The absence of a consistent strike bowler continues to hurt the team’s chances of registering their first win of the series.

Moreover, below par performances in the spin department (barring Jadeja’s antics at the MCG in the last game) have also emerged as a problem for captain cool. Lastly, a not-so-impressive strike rate of the top order batsmen, seems to leave the team 20-30 runs short in every game.
