IND vs AUS 2017: Rain in Chennai may spoil first ODI between Men in Blue and Kangaroos

The Indian Cricket Team seems to be having a very good season with consecutive wins. Players are on a roll after beating Sri Lanka by a massive margin of 9-0. Kohli and company have proved themselves. However, the clash of the titans will happen now as the Australian Cricket team aka the Aussies are on an India tour between September 12 and October 13.

Here, both the teams will play 5 ODIs as well as 3 T20s in various cricket grounds of the country. While Kohli and his boys including the evergreen wicketkeeper and ex captain MS Dhoni as well as Rohit Sharma and a few others will be confident enough after the no loss series win, Australia are way different than Sri Lanka.

They are not the kind that give up that easily and are certainly going to put up a massive fight as the Men in Blue will try every measure to defeat them as easily as they can. Australia will give India a tough time and this series will act as an important agent in monitoring as to who is fit enough to be able to play in the 2019 world cup and come out with flying colours.

The first ODI will be played between both the teams in a day and night setting at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The game will begin at 1:30 PM (IST). However, all the game fun may just be spoiled as rain gods will stand in the way of a full-fledged game for the spectators and the players. Rain threat looms large over Chennai as the city is witnessing rains even at present.

These rains are attributed to the trough which is running in proximity of the city of Chennai. Now, there are chances of some rainfall activity during the afternoon hours as well as early part of the night as well. Thus, this game may just end up being a spoiler due to the possibility of rains over the region.
