ICC World T20: Rain to washout NET vs OMA qualifier

March 11, 2016 4:22 PM | Skymet Weather Team

Rain in Dharamsala has delayed the World T20 match between Oman and Netherlands. As per Skymet, rain will continue to play spoilsport, and it is highly unlikely for the match to resume.

Good showers will continue to lash Dharamsala, disappointing fans who were looking forward to enjoy the match at world’s most beautiful stadium.

After winning from a good margin against Ireland in the first qualifier, Oman’s skipper Sultan Ahmed and his boys looked confident enough to take on Netherlands.

Meanwhile, Netherlands desperately needed to win this one as they had already suffered a loss from Bangladesh in the opening clash.

Before rain began, Oman won the toss and chose to bowl first as Ahmed believed that the drizzle would act as a boon for the seamers. However, after the toss, rain continued to act as a hindrance to the match.

According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, rain is likely to continue over Dharamsala throughout the day. With the current situation, it seems like it is going to result in a washout.

This may come as a bad news for Netherlands who were in a must win situation today.
