Weather for Mumbai: Mumbai’s sky will be clear as the conscious of a saint when India takes on West Indies in the second semifinals of WorldT20. The temperatures will be a comfortable 28-27°C.
Even if the temperatures are comfortable, the high levels of humidity will make the playing conditions uncomfortable.
The humidity will be around 60%-70%. Light winds of 10-15 kmph will bring in some comfort but that won’t suffice it.
Match Preview: While the talk of the town is Virat Kohli for now but Chris Gayle has and probably will try to spoil the winning streak of India as India locks horns with West Indies in the second semifinals of World T20 in Mumbai.
West Indies, who were unbeaten in the tournament until they encountered Afghanistan and gave their maiden World Cup win. Whereas India after losing to New Zealand in the opening game of the tournament will be confident and banking hugely upon Virat Kohli’s fantastic form.
"I am looking to show what Chris Gayle is," Gayle warned threateningly on Tuesday. "I have only batted twice but this (semi-final) is a perfect opportunity to actually start the tournament and try and pick up where I left off, get a big one for the team and put them in a winning position," he added.
The wicket at Wankhade is flat and is good for batsmen. The humid conditions will be beneficial for the batsman to either post good total or to chase down a total. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma would love to take the limelight from Virat Kohli and score good runs in the game.
West Indies have another batsman who can score huge runs is Andre Fletcher who showed his mettle in the game against Sri Lanka where he fired 82 runs.
Yuvraj Singh’s ankle injury has forced him to leave the tournament in between and his task will be taken by Manish Pandey, who is yet to play a game in this tournament.
The scenario still looks good for both the teams and we have to wait and watch this cracker of a match to see who comes out as the winner.
