Champions Trophy 2017 has turned out to be a rainy affair. Yesterday’s interesting clash between India and Pakistan was being constantly interrupted by frequent rainy spells. So much so that the Edgbaston Stadium had all sorts of covers coming up right from the ones covering the field to the umbrellas for the audiences out there.
However, luckily the rainfall activity was not enough and a 48-over match on each side was possible. Fortunately, the Indian side performed exceedingly well with both the bat and the ball resulting in a massive victory against arch rivals, Pakistan. Now, in Group B, India is sitting at the top of the point table.
Meanwhile, in Group A, Australia is all set to play its second match of the Champions Trophy 2017 against Bangladesh who will also be playing their second game. The sad part here is that the first match of the Kangaroos against the Kiwis resulted in a washout.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh suffered a major loss against England after playing extremely well.
Now, both the teams will lock horns today at The Oval Stadium in Kennington located in the borough of Lambeth, South London. However, rain gods are likely to affect this match as well. Some rainfall activity is expected over Kennington resulting in hindrance during the game.
