Champions Trophy 2017: Rain may affect IND-PAK nail biting encounter in Birmingham

In the fourth installment of the Champions Trophy 2017, India and Pakistan are all set to play their first game of the series. Both the teams have had the chance to lock horns with each other after almost two years. This year, Pakistan may believe in turning its fate by winning at least this game. The neighbouring nation has not won any championship series against India in a long time.

While the fans have been desperately waiting for that moment of truth when India thrashes Pakistan, the recent London attacks have embarked fear in the fans. So much so that even players are in a tense situation right now.

Along with this, rain gods are also not in favour of the game as some rainfall forecast is in store for Birmingham. In fact, rains are likely to play spoilsport in the upcoming game of India vs Pakistan which is scheduled to begin a few hours from now.

The match is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM (IST), i.e. 10:30 AM local time. Fans across the globe have kept their Sunday free so as to watch the nail biting tussle between both the teams. While rains won’t be as intense, the possibility of a Duckworth Lewis also cannot be ruled out.

Let’s just hope that the game of reputation and self-respect, the game of two rivals from decades does not get spoilt by the hands of rain gods. Team India need to win this as a lot of things are on stake from Kumble’s fate to Kohli’s self respect as a leader.
