Indian Jeera or Cumin seed futures ended up on some fresh overseas enquiries, though higher-than-expected spot supplies restricted the upside. At Unjha, the key market inGujaratstate, daily average arrivals have been around 20000-25000 bags (60 kg each). Gujarat is major Jeera seed producing state inIndia.

Sugar futures fell slightly due to large spot supplies and weak spot demand. Sugar prices declined and ruled steady on lower end on less than expected local offtake. Producers continued selling in local markets in absence of buying from neighbouring States as prices are ruling on par withMaharashtradiverting demand to nearby areas.

Indian Turmeric futures fell more than 2 percent on higher stocks and slack overseas demand. Spot Turmeric prices declined at Erode on the back of medium quality arrivals and sluggish North Indian demand. Due to arrival of poor quality Turmeric the traders quoted decreased price for the Turmeric. Stockists purchased some quantity.

Indian Soybean futures rose, supported by local demand and firm cues from the United States Soybean futures. Soy oil, however, fell tracking bearish cues from Malaysian palm oil futures. Soybean arrivals were declined in the major spot markets ofNorth India. According to traders bullish trend in Soybean spot prices will continue.
