According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, summer has turned the heat on Maharashtra's Vidarbha and surrounding areas. Chandrapur remained the hottest place with a maximum of 46°C on Sunday. Places in Odisha and Gangetic belt, which continuously figured in the list for the last one week or so are missing as the heat wave conditions have abated due rain and cloudy sky under the influence of a weather system ( low pressure area) in westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining parts of south Odisha.
