It is time to get nostalgic once again as the Pakistani legend, Shahid Afridi has announced retirement from the International Cricket for the fourth time in the last decade. While social media forum twitter cracked up and several jokes and memes lined up for the 36 year old, some of us still do not want him to retire just yet.

The Five feet 10 inch tall Pakistani lad has had quite a successful 21 year run in International Cricket. The sad part is that after playing 398 ODIs, Afridi couldn’t play his farewell match and fans would be disappointed for not seeing him play International Cricket for the very last time.

The first announcement made by Afridi was in the year 2006 from Test Cricket, however, the announcement was withdrawn quite quickly. Again in the year 2011, Afridi once again announced retirement but came back after a few months.

After the 2015 World Cup, Afridi again talked about retirement plans but he made an appearance at the 2016 T20 World Cup. However, this time, Afridi the spinner and the six hitting machine is not to be soon, at least that’s what has been made clear by him.

For all the fans, there is still hope as Afridi will continue with his domestic cricketing streak.
