September 29, 2019 7:22 PM |

Beginning with East and Northeast India, where the maximum weather activity seems to be concentrated. During the last 24 hours, flooding rains have lashed parts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. At present, a Cyclonic Circulation lies over Bihar and adjoining region. An upper air Trough is extending from this system to Manipur. These systems will bring moderate rain and thundershowers at many places over eastern parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, and Northeast states. One or two places might even receive heavy showers. Rains of light to moderate intensity will continue over flood-hit Patna and Varanasi where weather will remain mostly humid with overcast sky conditions. Flooding and waterlogging to continue in both the states.

Talking about Central India, where the weather system has recently intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Gujarat. The system may intensify into a Depression anytime now. Thus, moderate to heavy rains and thundershowers along with strong winds will be affecting many places over Gujarat, South Rajasthan and adjoining parts of Southwest Madhya Pradesh. While other parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha will experience light rains and thundershowers at many places. Weather in Mumbai will remain slightly warm and humid. Chances of light rains cannot be ruled out.

While eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh will experience decrease in rainfall. Weather in Delhi will remain warm and cloudy weather, short spells of light rains may occur over here.

Lastly in South India, where rains have picked up pace in the last some days. Here a Cyclonic Circulation lies over Comorin and adjoining region. Due to this system, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and South Interior Karnataka will see light to moderate rains and thundershowers at many places. Due to presence of another system up North, Telangana and northern parts of Andhra Pradesh will experience light rains and thundershowers at some places. However, Rayalaseema is likely to remain dry and warm. Chennai and Hyderabad will see humid and comfortable weather with chances of light rains.
