In the eastern parts of the country, an east-west Trough is extending from Haryana to Northeast India across Bihar. Therefore, moderate to heavy rains with one or two very heavy spells is expected over Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. These heavy rains may intensify the flood situation over Bihar.
Also, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells may occur over East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and parts of Assam. The rest Northeast India will see light to moderate rains. Also, the Cyclonic Circulation has further intensified into a Low-Pressure Area thus giving light to moderate rains with isolated heavy spells over Gangetic West Bengal, and Odisha with chances of lightning strikes.
Places like Bhagalpur, Purnea, Supaul, Jalpaiguri, Siliguri, Darjeeling and Cooch Behar along with Patna and Gaya may see heavy rains with chances of lightning strikes.
While Kolkata may see light rains with Jamshedpur, and Ranchi to see moderate rains.

Moving to central parts of the country, wherein the humid winds from the Arabian Sea and the vicinity of east-west Trough are likely to give moderate rains over East and Northeast Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh. The rain activities over West Madhya Pradesh and most parts of Maharashtra will now reduce and will see scattered light to moderate rains but moderate rains with one or two heavy spells may continue over Gujarat, South and Southeast Rajasthan. Jabalpur and Satna may see heavy rains while Mumbai, Nagpur and Akola may see light scattered rains.
Up in the North, a Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir with a Cyclonic Circulation over Central Pakistan. Therefore, moderate rains with one or two heavy spells is expected over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. However, light scattered rains are possible over West Uttar Pradesh, parts of Punjab, and Haryana with isolated spells over Delhi and North Rajasthan.
Down in South, there is no significant weather system. Yet we expect light to moderate rains to continue over Telangana, Coastal Karnataka, parts of Kerala and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. The rainfall activities will reduce over Rayalaseema, Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Chennai, Bengaluru may see light rains with moderate rain over Hyderabad.
