Weather Forecast Sept 18: Warm and humid weather in Delhi, moderate rain in Lucknow, Prayagraj

Let us first start with the central parts of the country wherein the rains have been battering the state of Madhya Pradesh.
A Cyclonic Circulation is over South Uttar Pradesh and adjoining North Madhya Pradesh and a Trough from this system is extending up to Southwest Bay of Bengal across Vidarbha. Therefore, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells can be seen over East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, parts of Marathwada. While scattered light to moderate rains will be seen over West Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, South Gujarat and parts of Madhya Maharashtra.

Isolated light rains will be a sight over Chhattisgarh. Amid this, Mumbai may see light rains and its suburbs may experience moderate showers.

Places like Jabalpur, Sagar, Damoh, Betul, Hoshangabad, Nagpur, Gondia and Chandrapur are likely to see good rains.

Down South, a Cyclonic Circulation is seen over Southwest Bengal off Andhra coast. Hence, moderate rains with one or two heavy spells is likely to occur over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The interior parts of Karnataka may also receive few moderate spells. Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu will see light to moderate rains. While Andaman and Nicobar Islands will get to see heavy to very heavy rains.

Bengaluru and Hyderabad will see moderate rains with light rains over Chennai.
Heading to the eastern parts of the country wherein rains will now reduce over Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, but moderate rains will be seen over East Uttar Pradesh.

Whereas, Northeast India, Jharkhand, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal may see reduction in rainfall activities. While light rains with one or two moderate spells are possible over these regions.

Prayagraj, Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi and Gorakhpur may receive good rains which will be of moderate in nature.

In the North, Subdued Monsoon conditions will continue over entire Northwest India. Scattered light to moderate rains is possible over Uttarakhand and over isolated pockets of West Uttar Pradesh.

The weather over West Rajasthan, most parts of Punjab and Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir will be nearly dry. One or two localised spell of rains may be seen over Delhi and NCR.
