A Low-Pressure Area is over Odisha and adjoining Chhattisgarh which is moving in northwest direction. The Axis of Monsoon Trough is extending from Rajasthan to Bay of Bengal across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha.
In the central parts of the country, moderate rains with few heavy spells are possible over many parts of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and parts of Chhattisgarh. Light to moderate rains with few heavy spells are also possible over the Gujarat region, Konkan and Goa and parts of South-east Rajasthan. Nagpur, Gondia, Jabalpur, Hoshangabad, Vadodara, Surat, Mumbai, Ratnagiri and Udaipur to witness moderate to heavy rains. Also, scattered rains can be seen over Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.
Heading towards East, light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells are possible over Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. While scattered light to moderate rains can be seen over Northeast India, parts of Bihar and Jharkhand with isolated spells over Gangetic West Bengal and East Uttar Pradesh. Kolkata and Ranchi to see light rains while Cuttack and Jharsuguda will see moderate rains.

Up in the North, a Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan and the easterly winds are blowing over the Northwest plains of the country. Now, we expect patchy rains to commence over Delhi and NCR and scattered showers can be seen over West Uttar Pradesh along with parts of Punjab and Haryana. Whereas, moderate rains with one or two heavy spells might be seen over parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand with isolated spells over Jammu and Kashmir.
Down South, an off-shore Trough is running from South Maharashtra to Kerala coast. Moderate rains with one or two heavy spells are possible over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala with scattered light to moderate spells to be seen over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and North Interior Karnataka. While Monsoon will be subdued over South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu. Andaman and Nicobar Islands will continue to witness moderate to heavy rains. Bengaluru and Chennai are likely to see light rains while Hyderabad to witness moderate rains.
