In the eastern parts of the country, a Low-Pressure Area is over Odisha and adjoining areas. The Axis of Monsoon Trough is extending from Northwest Rajasthan to Bay of Bengal across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. Therefore, moderate to heavy rains are possible over many places of Odisha, and many parts of Jharkhand. Places like Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Jamshedpur, and Ranchi are likely to see good rains while rains will be mild over Kolkata.
Light to moderate rains can be seen over Gangetic West Bengal, parts of Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh.Few moderate spells are likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, parts of Assam, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.
Heading to Central India, wherein rains will increase over Chhattisgarh, and East Madhya Pradesh. Here we expect, moderate rains with few heavy spells whereas East Rajasthan, Gujarat, Vidarbha and Konkan and Goa will get light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells.

Scattered rains are possible over Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra as well. Mumbai may receive moderate rains.Down South, Monsoon surge is active over the West coast. Therefore, moderate to heavy rains are possible over Coastal Karnataka and North Kerala. While scattered light to moderate rains can be seen over rest Kerala, parts of Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and parts of Telangana.
Monsoon to remain subdued over Interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema. Moderate to heavy rains will continue over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Bengaluru and Chennai may get to see light rain while Hyderabad may also see light to moderate rains.
Finally, up in the North, light to moderate rains are expected over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Localised rain and thundershower activities are possible over Punjab, Haryana and Delhi whereas West Uttar Pradesh may get scattered light to moderate rains.
