Weather Forecast Sep 14: Moderate rains very likely over Gwalior, Guna, Kota, Bundi, Tikamgarh, Lucknow, Sultanpur

A Low-Pressure Area is still persisting over Southwest Uttar Pradesh and adjoining North Madhya Pradesh. Therefore, we expect moderate rains with few heavy spells over West and North Madhya Pradesh and Southeast Rajasthan. Light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells is possible over South Gujarat, Konkan and Goa. While scattered light rains with few moderate spells can be seen over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and interior parts of Maharashtra. Marathwada may receive isolated light rains. Mumbai may see light rains with one or two moderate spells in the suburbs.

In the eastern parts of the country, the Axis of Monsoon Trough is extending from Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal. Also, the humid winds from the Bay of Bengal are feeding moisture over East and Northeast India. Active Monsoon conditions can be seen over East Uttar Pradesh, parts of Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland. While scattered light to moderate rains can be seen over Jharkhand and Odisha. Kolkata may also receive moderate rains with light to moderate rains over Prayagraj, Patna and Gaya. While rains over Ranchi will be light.

Down South, moderate rains are possible over Coastal Karnataka with light to moderate rains over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Telangana, South Interior Karnataka, Interior Tamil Nadu and parts of Kerala. Andaman and Nicobar Islands may receive moderate to heavy rains. Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad will see light rains.

In the northern parts of the country, due to the influence of Low-Pressure Area, light rains are possible at few places of West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh with isolated over northern parts of Punjab and Haryana along with Delhi. Whereas, weather of North Rajasthan will be dry.
