Weather Forecast Oct 19: Heavy rains in Karnataka, TN, Kerala, Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Goa

South India, wherein a Low-Pressure Area is over east-central Arabian Sea. Thus, moderate to heavy showers will be seen over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. While scattered light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells will be seen over South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Interior Tamil Nadu.

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will see light to moderate rains. Bengaluru may see moderate showers with light rain over Chennai and Hyderabad.Meanwhile in central India, due to the influence of Low-Pressure Area, rain activities will increase further over Madhya Maharashtra along with Konkan and Goa. Mumbai and Pune are likely to see few intense spells. Also, light to moderate showers can be seen over Vidarbha, Marathwada, South and East Madhya Pradesh as well as parts of Chhattisgarh. Whereas light scattered rains may occur over South Gujarat.

Moving to the eastern parts of our country wherein scattered rains will continue over Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal and parts of Jharkhand. Isolated light rain is possible over Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh. Whereas subdued activities will continue over Northeast India, there weather will be mostly dry with isolated light rains. Kolkata, Patna and Gaya will be dry with light rain to be seen over Ranchi and Jamshedpur.

Up in the North, the Western Disturbance is moving away eastward from Jammu and Kashmir, but we expect scattered light to moderate rains with isolated light snowfall over the upper reaches of Jammu and Kashmir to continue. Whereas isolated rains are probable over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and North Punjab. The weather of northwestern plains will be dry with Delhi pollution to be in moderate to poor category in wake of the easterlies.
