Weather Forecast Oct 12: AQI in Delhi and NCR to worsen, moderate showers in Bengaluru and Hyderabad

The Southwest Monsoon has further withdrawn from entire Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, some parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh and some more parts of West Madhya Pradesh, entire Rajasthan and some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch and Gujarat region.

Starting today’s weather report with the southern parts of our country wherein a Cyclonic Circulation is over the Comorin Area and a Trough is extending up to North Interior Karnataka and another Trough is extending from North Odisha to Rayalaseema across Telangana. Therefore, we expect light to moderate rains with one or two intense spells over Andhra Pradesh, Interior Karnataka and parts of Telangana. Scattered light to moderate rains are possible over Kerala.

Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu may witness light rains with one or two moderate spells. Chennai is expected to see isolated light rains while Bengaluru and Hyderabad may see light to moderate showers.

Meanwhile in the eastern parts of our country, a Cyclonic Circulation is over North coastal Odisha and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal. Therefore, light to moderate rains with one or two intense spells will continue over Odisha, isolated rains are possible over West Bengal, and parts of Jharkhand. While scattered light rains will be seen over Sikkim and northeastern statesThe weather of Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh will be dry.

In the central parts of our country, wherein a Cyclonic Circulation is over east-central Arabian Sea off Goa coast. Thus, light to moderate rains will continue over Madhya Maharashtra and South Konkan and Goa. Whereas isolated light rains are possible over North Konkan and Goa, parts of Marathwada and Vidarbha.Pune may get short and intense spells in some pockets whereas localised weather activities for short duration cannot be ruled out.During this time, Nashik, Nagpur and Akola will be dry.Also, an Anti-Cyclone is over West Rajasthan thus weather of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh will be dryAlong with this the northern districts of Chhattisgarh will also see dry weather conditions however scattered rains can be seen over South Chhattisgarh.

The Monsoon has withdrawn from entire Northwest India thus major weather activity seems to be ruled out. However, isolated light rain cannot be ruled out from the Western Himalayas that is Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. If we talk about the Air Quality Index, then the situation seems a bit grim as pollution in Delhi and NCR will be in poor category over most places.
