Weather Forecast Nov 6: Cyclone Maha to weaken, Cyclone Bulbul in making

Cyclone Maha has recurved and is now moving towards the Gujarat coast. It will weaken further into a Depression before reaching Gujarat coast. There are chances of scattered light to moderate rains over Gujarat. The sea conditions will be rough to very rough. The wind speed over the coastal areas will be 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph with wave height of around 8-10 feet. The fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea until the morning of November 8. Scattered rain and thundershowers are also expected over south and southeast Rajasthan and parts of West Madhya Pradesh. The rain activities may increase over Konkan and Goa and Madhya Maharashtra. Light rain may be a sightover Mumbai. While Pune may see moderate showers.

In the north and Northwestern parts of our country, a Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan. Rain and thundershowers with scattered snowfall is possible over Jammu and Kashmir and parts of Himachal Pradesh with isolated spells to be seen over Uttarakhand. Parts of Punjab, Haryana and North Rajasthan may see patchy rain and thundershowers. The weather of Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh will be dry. While the pollution level in Delhi and NCR will be in poor to very poor category.

Down South scattered light rain with one or two moderate spells are expected over Karnataka, Kerala, and Interior Tamil Nadu. While isolated light rain is a possibility over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Andaman and Nicobar Island may receive moderate rain with one or two heavy spells. Bengaluru stands a chance to witness light rain with dry weather most probably over Chennai and Hyderabad.

Finally, in the eastern and northeastern states of our country, wherein East India will witness dry weather conditions. However, a Cyclonic Circulation continues to persist over Bangladesh, and it may give isolated light rains over the Northeastern states.

A Deep Depression over North Andaman Sea may gradually intensify into a Cyclone Bulbul and will move towards North Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal.
