Weather Forecast Nov 3: Maha intensifies into a Very Severe Cyclone, likely to recurve, Delhi AQI to improve

The Severe Cyclonic Storm Maha has further intensified into a Very Severe Cyclone and further moved away from the coast towards west/northwestward. Due to this the rainfall activity will decrease over Maharashtra and Gujarat coast. However, many parts of Gujarat will receive light rain with few moderate spells including North Madhya Maharashtra, North Konkan and Marathwada. The coastal stations of South Gujarat may witness moderate breeze and moderate to high waves as well.

The southwest and east Madhya Pradesh, South Chhattisgarh will receive mainly light rain. Vidarbha and South Madhya Maharashtra may see a slowdown in rainfall activities now. Isolated light rain activity is possible over South and Southeast of Rajasthan.

Meanwhile in South, the Cyclonic Circulation is over North Andaman and Sea and adjoining areas and may intensify into a Low-Pressure Area. Moderate rain and thundershowers with squally winds is possible over the North Andaman Sea. Moderate rain can also be seen over North Andhra Pradesh coast, East Telangana, South Karnataka, Kerala and West Tamil Nadu. While light activities will be seen over rest southern peninsula.

Heading to eastern parts of our country wherein a low-level Cyclonic Circulation persists over Bangladesh and north/ northwesterly will prevail over East India. Mainly dry weather with drop in night temperature is expected over East India. Light rain at few places is possible over Tripura, Manipur and Mizoram. Rest parts of Northeast India will be dry and warm.

Finally, in North, in wake of the remnant of Western Disturbance, light rain is possible in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh while dry weather will prevail over Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh. Talking about pollution in Delhi and NCR, then marginal improvement is in sight due to the strengthening of north westerlies.
