Weather Forecast Nov 29: Winter chill all set to batter Punjab, Haryana, Delhi

Beginning with North India, the Western Disturbance has now moved away eastwards, but the remnants of the systems may give light rains and snow over parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Isolated thundery activity is also possible over foothills of West Uttar Pradesh. Winter chill is all set to batter Northwest Plains as northerly cold winds will drop the minimums over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and many parts of Rajasthan by two to four degrees. Meanwhile, weather in Delhi will remain dry.

Coming onto South India, here Northeast Monsoon has once again become active. Therefore, we expect moderate rains with one or two heavy spells over coastal Tamil Nadu and parts of South Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Rains will also increase over Tamil Nadu. While scattered rains will be witnessed over Kerala, coastal and South Karnataka as well as Rayalaseema. Heavy rains are possible over Chennai. Light rains are likely over Bengaluru and Kochi. Meanwhile Hyderabad, Telangana, North Karnataka and North Andhra Pradesh will remain dry.

Talking about Central India, here cold winds will blow from North direction which will drop the minimums of Gujarat, South Rajasthan and parts of West Madhya Pradesh. A Trough is seen extending from South Konkan and Goa to Kerala, therefore isolated light rains are likely over South Konkan and Goa and South Madhya Maharashtra. Weather over rest parts of Central India and Mumbai will remain dry.

Lastly in East India, a Cyclonic Circulation is over East Bangladesh and adjoining Tripura. Isolated light rains and snow is possible over hills of Arunachal Pradesh. Whereas, the weather of rest parts of Northeast as well as East India will remain dry. We do not expect any change in day and night temperatures over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. Meanwhile, Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi will remain dry.
