Weather Forecast Nov 26: Thunderstorm in Kashmir, Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi, moderate spell in Puducherry

A fresh Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Pakistan and adjoining parts of Punjab and Haryana. In wake of these weather systems, we expect rain and snow over many parts of Jammu and Kashmir, parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the next 24 hours. Isolated hailstorm activities are also likely over parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Talking about the northwestern plains wherein scattered rain and thundershowers are expected over parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, along with north and east Rajasthan. The minimums may increase marginally, however day temperatures will fall by two to three degrees over the northern plains in wake of intermittent rain and widespread clouding.

Meanwhile in Central India, no significant weather activity is expected over Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra. However, the northern districts of Madhya Pradesh may witness isolated thundery activities. Places like Gwalior, Datia may witness thundery activities with partly cloudy to cloudy sky in sight. The minimums are expected to increase over the parts of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha due to the blowing of southeasterly winds over these areas.

Heading to east and northeast India, wherein an Anti-Cyclone is over the eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas. Thus, no significant weather activity is expected over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal. However, moderate to dense fog is likely in some parts of East Uttar Pradesh, foothills of Bihar, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal.

Along with this, no significant weather activity is expected in the northeastern states as well. However isolated light rain may occur over the eastern parts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
Finally, in South India, wherein the Northeast Monsoon surge has weakened. Therefore, dry weather is expected over Telangana, many parts of Karnataka, and North coastal Andhra Pradesh.

However, isolated light rain may occur over South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and scattered light rain is a possibility over Tamil Nadu with one or two moderate spells. Whereas Kerala will majorly see dry weather with isolated light rains expected at one or two places. Andaman and Nicobar Islands along with Lakshadweep may see almost dry weather with isolated light rains only. Chennai may see light rain with isolated spells expected over Bengaluru. While Hyderabad will witness dry weather conditions.
