Starting with South India, the Very Severe Cyclone Maha has now moved in Northwest direction and is over East-central Arabian Sea. So, we expect moderate rains with one or two heavy spells to continue coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Whereas heavy to very heavy rains are likely over northern islands of Lakshadweep. Rain activities will now reduce over Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
However, scattered light to moderate rains will continue. Patchy rains are also possible over Telangana. Places like Mangalore and Honnavar will see heavy rains. Moderate rains are possible over Bengaluru and Chennai. Sea conditions will be rough to very rough over Karnataka and Kerala coast. Strong winds will lash these areas.
Talking about Central India, rains will now increase over Konkan and Goa. We expect light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells over South Konkan and Goa and parts of Madhya Maharashtra. Light to moderate rains are possible over Vidarbha. Scattered light rains will continue over Chhattisgarh, South Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Mumbai may witness light patchy rains with a mainly cloudy sky. Moderate rains are possible over Pune. South Konkan and South Madhya Maharashtra will get moderate to heavy rains.

Coming onto Northwest India, in the absence of any significant weather system, weather of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will remain almost dry. However, light rains may occur at one or two places over Jammu and Kashmir. On the other hand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh will remain dry. No relief from severe pollution levels is likely over Delhi. Light rains with one or two moderate spells is possible over western parts of Rajasthan, like Jaisalmer, Barmer and Jodhpur.
Lastly in East and Northeast India, the weather of East India will remain mostly dry. A Cyclonic Circulation is present over Bangladesh. Therefore, we expect scattered light rains with one or two heavy spells over Northeast India particularly in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur. On the other hand, weather of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha will remain dry.
