Up in the North, a fresh Western Disturbance is over North Afghanistan and adjoining areas. Its induced Cyclonic Circulation is over Central Pakistan. Thus, isolated lights rains will be a sight in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh. However, plains would continue to battle hot weather due to unabated flow of dry and hot north-westerlies. Both day and night temperatures would increase, and heat wave is likely to return.

Similarly, these hot winds would also be reaching Central India. Currently, most of the places are witnessing temperatures in the range of 40 degrees or more. Whereas, isolated pockets of Vidarbha are under heat wave conditions. We now expect heat wave to cover parts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and would cover more parts of Vidarbha further.

Heading to East India, a feeble Cyclonic Circulation is over Arunachal Pradesh. A trough from Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim is extending up to South Peninsula across West Bengal and Odisha. Thus, scattered light to moderate rains would continue over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, while isolated rains will be a sight over rest of northeastern states and Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Meanwhile, entire East India would witness dry and hot weather.

Down South, this north-south trough is seen extending up to interior Tamil Nadu across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and South Interior Karnataka. Therefore, rain activities would now increase South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Isolated light rains might occur over rest parts of Karnataka.

Heat wave conditions are also expected at few places of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with mercury soaring well beyond 40-degree mark.
