To begin with North India, a Western Disturbance lies over North Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining Pakistan region. A trough is extending from Central Pakistan to North Haryana across South Punjab. In the wake of these weather systems, we expect scattered rains over Jammu and Kashmir. Isolated rains are also possible over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and North Rajasthan. Weather in Delhi, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh will remain dry.
Dry and warm winds from northwest direction will continue to blow over most parts of Central India. Therefore, we expect day temperatures over South Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat to rise marginally. In fact, heatwave conditions in parts of Gujarat are likely to continue.
Talking about East/Northeast India, in the absence of any significant weather system, weather of entire East and Northeast India is expected to remain dry. However, isolated light rains cannot be ruled out in Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.
