March 26, 2019 8:10 PM | Skymet Weather Team

To begin with North India, in the absence of any significant weather system, weather in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh India will remain almost dry. Therefore, gradual rise in both day and night temperatures will be observed in parts of all these states.

Dry winds from the northwest will continue to blow over most parts of Central India. Therefore, we expect marginal increase in day temperatures over Madhya Pradesh, South Rajasthan and Kutch region of Gujarat. Day temperatures of North Madhya Maharashtra and North Konkan & Goa including Mumbai will decrease.

In East/Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation is over Assam and a trough is extending from this system up to North Coastal Odisha across Gangetic West Bengal. Thus, we expect rain and thundershowers over many parts of Northeast India. Isolated light rains may occur over West Bengal including Kolkata. Weather of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand will become dry.
