March 25, 2019 7:38 PM | Skymet Weather Team

After giving scattered rain and thundershower activities over Northwest Plains, the Western Disturbance has moved eastward. The remnants of this system might just give isolated light rains over Tehri and Rudraprayag in the coming 24 hours.

Now, dry northwesterlies would blow over the Northern Plains. The minimums are expected to fall by a couple of degrees. But weather would be clear and dry over the region.

In Central India, hot and dry northerly/northwesterly winds are blowing over Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh. This might result in rise in day temperatures over these regions.

The northeasterlies would increase the temperatures of Konkan and Goa as well as of North Madhya Maharashtra including Mumbai. Thus, leading to hot and uneasy weather conditions. There are chances that sky of Chhattisgarh might become partly cloudy with chances of isolated thunderstorm activities over Korea, Surajpur and Balrampur.

In East India, a Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Assam and a trough is extending from Northeast Bihar to Odisha across West Bengal. Due to this, scattered rains are a possibility over Purnia, Bhagalpur, Malda, Bankura, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Baripada. Parts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh would witness dry weather. While, light to moderate rains are expected over Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and parts of Nagaland.

Down South, a trough is seen extending from North Interior Karnataka to Kerala, thus we expect light rains at few places of Kerala. Temperatures over rest all places would remain dry and hot. Due to the blowing of hot and dry southerly winds, some pockets of Rayalaseema and Telangana might cross the mark of 40 °C. Bengaluru would witness warm weather, whereas, Chennai and Hyderabad would observe hot and uneasy weather conditions.
