Yet another fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect Western Himalayas by the evening or night of March 24. Scattered light rain and thundershower activities are likely over Jammu and Kashmir. While few moderate spells would be a sight over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand with squally winds.
Over the plains, a trough is likely to form from Haryana to North Madhya Pradesh. Thus, rain and thundershower activities are likely at few parts over Chandigarh, Ambala, Bhatinda, Karnal, Gurugram, Delhi, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Sri Ganganagar, Saharanpur, Moradabad and Meerut. Sky would be partly cloudy with warm afternoon over the northwest plains.
In East India, dry northwesterlies are likely to prevail over the region with gusty strong winds. Day temperatures are expected to rise. While, morning temperatures might see a marginal dip over Gangetic West Bengal and Coastal Odisha.
A trough is seen extending from East Bangladesh up till Northeastern states in the lower levels. Hence, isolated rain and thundershower activities is a possibility over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
Northerly winds are likely to prevail over central India, mainly over Gujarat and Maharashtra. Due to anti-cyclonic flow from North Arabian Sea, day temperatures are expected to rise over Ahmedabad, Surat, Gandhinagar, Jalgaon, Malegaon, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Pune and Nashik. There is a possibility of development of thunderclouds in isolated parts of Marathwada and South Maharashtra.

Down South, most of the areas would remain warm and humid. The Cyclonic Circulation now lies over Coastal Karnataka and a trough from this system is extending up to southeast Arabian Sea across North Karnataka. Thus, isolated activity might be seen over Kerala and adjoining South Karnataka. Telangana, Rayalaseema and North Karnataka would remain hot. Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad would witness dry and very warm weather conditions.
