Weather Forecast March 23: Temperatures to rise across Northwest India, Thunderstorm in Odisha, Kerala, TN

Up in North, a feeble Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. Places like Srinagar, Sonmarg, Dalhousie and Dharamshala might witness rain and thunderstorm activity. Morning temperatures are expected to rise over the hills.

Strong surface northwesterly winds are expected to blow over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan. Gradual rise in day temperatures is expected.

Dry winds would blow over Bihar, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal. A small trough can be seen over Odisha coast that might give Isolated thunderstorm activity along the coast in the coming 24 hours.

A Cyclonic Circulation is also marked over Assam and adjoining Arunachal Pradesh. A trough is seen extending from Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim to Arunachal Pradesh. Thus, scattered rain and thundershowers with squalls is a possibility over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and few places over the rest parts.

In Central India, dry and warm weather would continue to prevail. An Anti-Cyclone has established over North Arabian Sea and dry northerly winds are expected to blow over the region. In the next 48 hours, significant rise in day temperatures is likely and weather would remain dry and very warm over Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha.

Surat, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Ratlam, Ujjain, Jalgaon, Mumbai coast would get to witness dry and warm weather. Also, a gradual rise by three to five degrees in day temperatures is a possibility in coming 48 hours.

Down South, a Cyclonic Circulation lies over Interior Karnataka. Isolated thunderstorm activity is likely over South Kerala, south of Tamil Nadu and North Andhra Pradesh coast. Temperatures would continue to remain above normal over these areas. Rayalaseema and Telangana would continue to witness uneasy weather conditions.
