The present Western Disturbance is moving across East Jammu and Kashmir and another fresh Western Disturbance would be approaching by March 6. North/northwesterly winds are likely to prevail over the region. Some places of the hills of East Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand would receive light rain and snow during next 24 hours. Places like Leh, Ladakh, Kullu Manali, Badrinath, Chamoli and Lahaul Spiti would be a witness to these weather activities. Rest places to witness partly cloudy sky with dry weather in offing. Day temperature would rise, and minimums might drop over the hills.
In the plains, dry weather is expected for the coming two days. Northwesterlies are likely to prevail over the plains with rise in day temperatures and would be in the range of 21°C-25°C whereas night temperatures might see a dip. Delhi might witness shallow fog and a cool morning. Talking about pollution, the levels would remain in moderate category over many places.
A Cyclonic Circulation as an upper air system can be seen over Arunachal Pradesh and adjoining Assam. A trough is seen extending from Bangladesh to Andhra Pradesh coast across West Bengal and Odisha. Rain and thundershower activities are likely over few places of West Bengal, Odisha coast and many places of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and some places of Assam and Meghalaya. Places like Murshidabad, Kolkata, Balasore, Bhadrak and Bhubaneswar in East India would continue to witness light rain and thundershower activities.
Moderate spells are likely over northeastern states with a chance of thunder squall and isolated hailstorm. Day temperatures would be comfortable within a range of 25°C-29°C.
Dry weather is expected to prevail over Central India. Morning would be comfortable with mist and haze. Day would be mostly sunny. Rise in temperature is likely over Vidarbha and Marathwada region.

Down South, a trough is extending up till Andhra Pradesh coast and a small discontinuity is expected over extreme south of Kerala. Light rain and thundershower activities might occur in parts of coastal stations of Andhra Pradesh, South Karnataka and South Kerala. Day temperatures are likely to rise over Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka. There are also chances of heatwave type condition over few pockets. Day temperature over Hyderabad, Adilabad, Tirupati, Salem, Kozhikode might hover in and around 38°C.
