Mumbai rain which remained absent for almost entire June has picked up pace now and good showers have been lashing the city for the last 24 hours. The rainfall activity is likely to reduce tomorrow. However, today, the city will continue to see some rainfall. At present, an offshore trough is running from South Gujarat up to North Karnataka which will reduce rain in the region. However, moderate rainfall with heavy spells is likely to continue in parts of North Konkan including Mumbai and southern parts of Gujarat. The southeastern parts of Gujarat will witness moderate to heavy rains.
It is likely that a Low-Pressure Area may form over the northern parts of Bay of Bengal. This system is likely to concentrate into a Depression in 24 hours and is likely to further move westward. Thus, we can say that rainfall activity would now reduce and will remain light to moderate at most of the places of Northeast India. Isolated heavy spells will be seen over Meghalaya, Nagaland and eastern parts of Assam. Whereas, activities over East India would remain subdued with light scattered rains to be seen over Gangetic West Bengal, South Jharkhand and Eastern parts of Bihar. While most places of Odisha would see light rainfall whereas isolated heavy rains seem to be a possibility over extreme South Odisha.

Down South scattered moderate rainfall with isolated heavy spells will be seen over North Telangana and North Andhra Pradesh coast. Rest parts of Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh would see scattered light rains. Whereas, subdued Monsoon activities with hot weather conditions would continue over Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.
Finally, up in the North, few places in Jammu and Kashmir along with Himachal Pradesh might see rain. A Trough is also extending from Central Pakistan towards the Low-Pressure Area in the North Bay of Bengal. Thus, isolated dust storm and thundershowers are a possibility in West Haryana and Punjab. Scattered rains to be seen over East Rajasthan. There are chances of heat wave conditions making a comeback in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. Parts of Rajasthan would also reel under heat wave conditions.
