Weather Forecast July 8: Heavy rains over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal

Starting with East and Northeast India, a feeble Low-Pressure Area lies over western parts of Bihar and adjoining eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh. Due to this system, heavy rain and thundershowers accompanied with strong winds is likely at many parts of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, northwest parts of Jharkhand, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. South Jharkhand, Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal will also receive light rain at scattered places. Apart from this, a feeble Cyclonic Circulation in association with a Trough lies over central parts of Assam and adjoining region. Due to this system, moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers will be occurring over Meghalaya, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Coming on to North India, here a Cyclonic Circulation along with a Trough is persisting over Southern parts of Uttar Pradesh. Thus, moderate to heavy rain and thundershower activities will be affecting many places over Uttarakhand, Northeast Rajasthan and North Madhya Pradesh.

Also, a feeble Western Disturbance lies over northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this system, light rains are likely over isolated parts of Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining parts of Himachal Pradesh.

Apart from this, a Cyclonic Circulation is lying over central parts of Pakistan and adjoining parts of Punjab. This will induce, dust storm and spell of light rain and thundershowers at scattered places of Punjab and Haryana. Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh will experience warm and humid weather along with a cloudy sky.

Coming on to South India, here an off-shore Trough is extending from Maharashtra coast up to North Kerala. Also, a Cyclonic Circulation lies over South Gujarat and adjoining parts of Northeast Arabian sea. Thus, moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers will occur over coastal Karnataka. Moderate rains are likely over Kerala. Interior Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will experience light rain and thundershowers at isolated places. Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema on the other hand will remain very warm and dry weather conditions.

Lastly in Central India, the interior parts of Maharashtra will be affected by light to moderate rains and thundershowers due to the prevalence of moist winds over the area. Heavy rains are likely over many places along Konkan and Goa. Kutch and western parts of Rajasthan however will remain warm and dry.
