The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into remaining parts of West Rajasthan and thus has covered the entire country today, on July 19, 2019.Coming back to country wide weather, many parts of Kerala are under the tight grip of hefty Monsoon rains and with time these rains will be more widespread in nature.At present, an off-shore Trough is extending from South Konkan and Goa to Kerala. Also, the Monsoon surge is active over Karnataka and Kerala, therefore we expect heavy to very heavy rains to continue over Kerala and South coast of Karnataka. Light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells might occur over South Interior Karnataka and Interior Tamil Nadu. While scattered light rains will be a sight over Rayalaseema and Coastal Tamil Nadu.
Kannur, Kasaragod, and Kozhikode are likely to witness extremely heavy Monsoon rains Meanwhile, scattered light to moderate rain activities are expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and North Interior Karnataka.Heading to Central India wherein a Cyclonic Circulation is over West-central Bay of Bengal off North Andhra and South Odisha coast. Now, we expect rains to increase over Vidarbha, Marathwada as well as over North Madhya Maharashtra. Light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells will be affecting these places. Good rains will continue over Chhattisgarh and light to moderate rains will be seen over South and East Madhya Pradesh.

Also, Gujarat region might witness moderate spell with one or two heavy spells. Good rains are a possibility over Ahmedabad, Panchmahal and Tapi. Meanwhile, the humid winds from the Bay of Bengal will be increasing moisture over eastern and northeastern states of the country. Thus, scattered light to moderate rains will occur over many parts of northeastern states, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and one or two places of northern parts of Uttar Pradesh and North Bihar. Scattered light to moderate rains with one or two heavy rains is a possibility over Odisha, with isolated light rains over Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal.
Up in the North, a Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over Punjab and adjoining areas. Also, an axis of Monsoon Trough is extending from Punjab to East India across South Haryana and South Uttar Pradesh. Light to moderate rains is possible over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Whereas, isolated thundery activity may occur over North Punjab, North Haryana and parts of Rajasthan. Meanwhile, Delhi will witness dry weather with marginal rise in temperatures.
